With technology advancing the way it is, in approximately 50.000 years we will have the ability to travel to other planets that's inhabitable .yes.!!as theirs many trillions of suns. and trillions of planets out there,The space Craft will be piloted by robots & computors.as the humans have a vacation till they get there.humans will go to many planets and from there many more.
I pray we want destroy those planets also. as were steadily destroying this one .I have dreams of the future all the time.lately. most every night.
I saw a large silver saucer shaped craft one day hovering above a building 34 years ago.

It has been known for some time that by simple law of average and the millions of other solar systems out there that there has to be other planets that could sustain life. It will depend upon wether or not we can find a way to travel that far. It would take too long using current technology. Who knows what future generations may be able to acheive....

We can only guess at this point. The other planets of OUR solar system are currently not habitable outside of some kind of shelter. Conceivably we could develop ways to change the atmosphere over time to make them more habitable. Other planets orbiting other stars are currently too far for us to even make a close-up investigation. Again, we will have to develop better technology to allow us access to those planets.

Whilst it is likely that it would be possible to live on other planets, it would be very expensive to begin the processes, and with one earth already, as long as we look after it, it should be enough. Of course, with the way we've been looking after it so far, we may need to.
However, many industries could find the colonization of other planets massively to their advantage, with low gravity and extremes of heat and pressure, in the future it is possible that much of our industry would move off earth for better environments on other planets.

No...they are either too hot..mercury and venus..or too cold..mars, pluto,..or gaseous...jupiter,saturn,neptune.
The small fact of lack of food and oxygen is a drawback too.
The NEAREST star to us that could have planets that have ideal conditions for life are so far away...hundreds of years at the speed of light...millions of years by rocket...it just won't be feasable.Even then we would have to find them...would you like to set off on a journey you will never complete ??
Why not stay here, keep the population down by compulsory maximum sized families..and Bob's your uncle.

Of course they will. There is no reason why humans will have not gathered enough resources and knowledge in the next decade or so to colonize other planets, even if it is only on a small scale.

No. No-one lives on earth, so how can someone live on another planet. There are no planets anyway.

Probably not in our lifetime, unless the private sector figures a way to make money on it. Our government is spending way too much money on the military, and welfare to ever get really serious about the space program.
