When I was jobhunting about 4 months ago, there was absolutely no shortage of VB.Net reqs open. People think the computer industry moves fast, but there are still thousands of programs in classic ASP and VBScript that will be maintained and patched up forever. Same with VB.Net.

I would say between 50% and 75% of companies that develop windows business apps use VB.net. Every company I have seen in this market are using it (despite the fact that I prefer C#, oh well....).

Most companies are shifting to C++ or Java. VB.net isn't as popular as it used to be.

they all use it because they heard that I am taking it in high school
