No way. Anyone that has worked with a dog that has a job can see it. These dogs have a love and talent for what they do. You should see how excited they are to get to the job!

A true working dog LOVES to work and would rather do that then anything else, including sitting at home like a pet, burping with boredom. A dog like that would drive you insane and completely out of your mind had you decide to turn it into a pet. Work dogs get EXTREMELY jealous of having to stay at home when they get sick or retire, if you are taking another dog to work.

I was walking along behind a blind chap with his 'seeing' dog last week. A woman came towards him with her two Westies. As they passed the blind man I heard one Westie say to the other 'Look at that lucky dog there working for that blind feller. I bet he feeds her well she's quite fat. Wish I had a job like her.' So you can see that it is the other way round. Dogs who are pets are jealous of dogs who work.

No, They both get the same love and attention. And sence the working pets have never known anything else (they were trained from puppys) they don't mind helping people. I wouldnt like to be a police dog though.. *thinks*

Doubt it, most dogs enjoy the challenge of having something to stimulate their minds.
