If it is for a group of girls, rent "Aquamarine" because that movie is just great for that age group. I work for a video store and the girls 9-16 love that movie. It is clean, funny, and totally a girl movie. If it is for a group of boys, "Ironman" is out on video and guys seem to like that. Only thing is, is it is PG-13 and I'm really not sure why it is...but it has rented a lot among many ages of guys/boys.
If you are looking to go to the theatres, there are not any decent movies for that age group out, unfortunately.

I liked Gold Diggers: Secret Of Bear Mountain. Two teenage girls take a boat and have a cabin in a cave. It's a few years old but it's full of adventure. The Cure is also another good adventure movie.

My kids really like Jurasic Park, napoleon dynamite, herbie the love bug with lindsay lohan, cheaper by the dozen (and cheap by the doz 2), yours mine and ours, daddy daycare, dumb and dumber, the spy kids (and the sequels), and movies like that. My kids love to watch ones where the kids trash the home.
If you are doing this for boys just remember they like the gross-out movies (with fart and poop jokes) like the dumb and dumber movies. For all kids get funny ones so they can laugh (and have fun so to speak)
OR just ask the kids what they want to watch, chances are they know exactly what they want! good luck and have fun!

well, let me tell you this, dont go to see norbit. it's a waste of time. only a few parts were funny but they showed that on preveiws.. and not bridge to teribithia* coz that is just gay for 13 yr. olds..
sorry, there arent any good movies out..
