You can use My Computer or WIndows Explorer to move around through the folders and look at files
Or, if you are looking for a specific type of file (such as all your mp3 music files), you can use the Search feature on the search menu. For example a search for "*.mp3" will show all the mp3 music files on the PC.

In as far as they go, those first two questions ARE correct, however, you still won't see all the files. you have to click on Windows Explorer, then click on Tools, then click on Folder Options, then click on View, then go down to Show Hidden and System files.
That will show you ALL the files.
