i want to know where around downtown i should look. i want to be close to live music, bars, someplace to play pool and meet other people in their mid to late 20s

Thorton Park is the best palce in downtown to be near all the bars and clubs. If you are flexible about living downtown or not- Metrowest in my opinion is the best place. That's the area I live in and I love it! Lots of bars to stumble home from.

downtown is awesome area, and so is the east orange county area

All I can say is, don't be out at night near Kayley Street, I repeat you do not want to be anywhere near Kayley Street at night.
