I know Aguilar is of spanish origin so i was wondering if she is part latina?

Yes she is part Latina and even though her Irish-american mother separated from her Ecuadorian-born father when she was quite young, she embraces her Latin heritage as she has an album in Spanish, calls herself "latina" or at least half, married a Latin guy who speaks Spanish, and she is just very into the culture and is proud to be half Ecuadorian. I used to think it was unbelievable, b/c of her blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin, but now I notice there is something "Latina-looking" about her, but I can't pinpoint it.

Aguilera was born in Staten Island, New York to Fausto Wagner Xavier Aguilera, a U.S. Army sergeant, and Shelly Loraine Fidler, a Spanish teacher. Aguilera's father is of Latino heritage, and was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, while her mother is a Canadian who has German, English, Irish and Dutch ancestors.Her father, Fausto, was serving at Earnest Harmon Air Force Base in Stephenville, Newfoundland, Canada. Aguilera is Hispanic but Christina is not Hispanic and that's obvious...but she had a step-father who is Hispanic and he adopted her when she was a small child and gave her this name. I don't know what the deal is with her biological father. Don't know if he's in the picture or not...
