If you have any kind of fish/pet store near you, it would be more advisable to purchase directly in a store. Then you can check for the quality of items you are buying as well as check expiration dates. If a store has an aquarium section and a bird section then you can find EVERYTHING you need right there.

Hermit crabs and their supplies/equiptment are not cheap, theyare not a cheap pet to begin with... that is why they are just about the worst starer pet out there, even though may of these places still market them as starter pets.

Whatever foods you buy as far as krill etc.. read the lables very very carefully. DO NOT buy anything with Copper Sulfate OR
Ethoxyquin in it. Those are terrible preservatives/pesticides that will inhibit growth, cause molting complications and shorten the life span dramatically of your hermit crabs. There have been many studies, trials and tests done and the findings were shocking. Make sure whatever you provide is the purest you can get, buying ONLINE does not allow you to read the complete label most of the time.

I checked the cheapest website I deal with (That Pet Place http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/index.web), and even though their prices are pretty good (I think) the shipping ($8.99 for orders under $100) will end up costing you as much as what you'll be getting! I imagine it will be the same with other websites. So this may end up costing you more than buying the supplies at a store near where you live. Have you tried WalMart? Or one of the major pet chains (PetSmart, Petco)? Their prices aren't that bad.
