Maybe he's curious because he doesn't have to do it? or he enjoys it in some way... i would say it's not really a big deal, but if you want alone time, tell him to leave. good luck!

I have never heard such a bunch of uptight, repressed, inhibited, close minded opinions in my life! What in the world is wrong with everyone? Why is this gross? There is nothing gross or nasty or unpleasant about a womans body or her menstrual cycle! I am amazed that some of these comments actually came from women which means that they have accepted the belief that there is something ugly and disgusting about themselves! What is the big deal? Why are all of you equating this with the same sort of emotion that would accompany urinating or having a bowel movement? They are NOT the same thing you know.
If this specific man and this specific woman are okay with this behavior why is it anyone's business to say that it is gross? I personally think that a man asking a woman to give him oral sex is ten times MORE gross and yet I am sure that all the men out there would tell me I am wrong! (gee, I wonder why?)
The feminist movement has not gotten us very far evidently. Women are still uptight about their periods and men are just as bad as they ever were! None of the people that I know would react in this way. Odd! I am just speechless.
Lady Trinity~ ** WOW! Fab!! Be still my heart! A voice of reason! Another person who sees my point!! Thank you!! Amber and lanibear5 also! Intelligent women! Fab, you actually said the same thing I did! I am shocked that so many men are still stuck in the dark ages. As they (men)say "never trust anything that can bleed for 5 days and not die" right?. Old habits die hard evidently but it shocks me to see that so many women agree that their moon flow is something to be "grossed out" about.**

As the English might say, 'That's a bloody weird question.', but, since you asked it, askaman.com says---it sounds to me like your bf is interested either in A). female physiology to the extreme
or B). he wants to get his red-wings. Some women(like mine) are still horny, even though it's that time of the month. Me personally, I try and stay as far away from her tampons as possible unless i'm buying them. Some guys don't mind the sight, taste or smell of a woman during her menstruation so lady, if it doesn't bother you i'd say just go with the flow and see what happens. It could be the best time of your life---or at least his. Getting red-wings=performing cunnilingus during her period. I always have and always will pass on that performance!!!!

It's up to you and what you feel comfortable with. Personally, I would not be comfortable with someone watching me put in a tampon and wouldn't let him. If you are comfortable with it, then there is nothing wrong with it. Just make sure that you are doing it because YOU want to and are not doing it just for his sake.

To each his own, but don't you think it is a little strange, men usually get very grossed out by their women's time of the month, some won't even help their wives by buying feminine products, and your fella likes it? If you were my daughter I would tell you to dump him, a person should have a certain degree of self esteem and privacy, not to say dignity.

Erm, ok.

Not something I would be into myself, but hey, it is your body - your tampon and your boyfriend, so only you can tell if you are comfortable with that.

Does he actually get turned on by this, or is it just a curiosity thing?

Well it depends on how comfortable you are around him.If you don't feel comfortable let him know and I am sure he will stop. But if you don't mind then what's the big deal? My boyfriend has been in the bathroom with me while I use it plenty of times and vice versa. We are just that comfortable with one another.

That depends how comfortable you two are with each other. Is it just because he wants to talk and you are in the middle of doing it or is it because it turns him on? If its a turn on then that is really odd. I would say get out.

It's just curiousity. If he want's to watch let him watch as long as you are comfortable with it. Guys don't have to deal with this issue, so usually they just want to know what all of the fuss is about.

There are bigger issues to deal with in the world besides a guys curiousity in female issues.
