It could be a "low lying placenta" or "placenta previa" .. I have this currently (I'm 19 weeks pregnant)
I started bleeding bright red blood at 15 weeks .. went to the ER (hystrical, because I thought I was losing my baby) .. they did an ultrasound, baby was perfect and the bleeding was because I have a "low lying placenta". I have since (for 4 weeks) continued spotting brown. It does not affect the baby whatsoever. The doctor said 96% of people who have a "low-lying" placenta in early pregnancy will clear itself up and will be perfect by full term and will have a normal vaginal delivery. Worse case scenerio is that if the placenta doesn't move up (from your uterus expanding as your tummy grows) .. then in that 4% you will have to have a c-section. But you will still have a healthy baby :)
My tummy started pooching at about 15 weeks.
Hang in there .. and relax :)

Also, the brown blood could be caused from having sex! (but that's normal too! )

Good luck! :)

God Bless!

First, are you still getting your period? That should stop while you are pregnant, however some women experience some bleeding during pregnancy. Light brown in color is normal, as well as the discharge. What you need to watch for is really red blood during pregnancy. When in doubt see your doctor, only they can tell you for sure if there is a problem. As far as starting to show every person is different it depends on your size before pregnancy, how much weight you are gaining and lots of other things. try a pregnancy help book, like "what to expect when you're expecting" or " your pregnancy-week by week
"

At my appointment yesturday, it was my first one. The doctor told me that, any bright red bleeding and heavy amounts is a cause to be very concerned. Any spotting, light pink, can be caused by several different things such as intercourse, or from your uterus growing larger, she said it's going to happen in any pregnancy at one point and time, and it's only a small concern. She also said that any brownish bleeding is just old blood and it's not a real concern. Your going to have some discharge unless it's a yellowish color and has a fishy smell you shouldn't worry. And about your stomach not showing, I'm not really showing that much yet and I'm only a couple weeks behind you, so don't worry I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

I think a little spotting now and then is pretty nowmsl but you might want to call your OB. Also, you could start showing any day. I have really started showing this week and I am 14 weeks but this is baby #2. Your stomache won't feel "hard" for another couple of months.

Congrats

if you are pregnant, you should not be having your period. Brown stuff is old blood, the fact that you are still having your period may mean that you are not pregnant at all, i would recommend seeking medical attention as you may have had a miscarriage which can cause you to be sterile or even die from infection.

If 4 months pregnant and seeing blood, go to the dr. Could be fine, but this is how a miscarriage can start! Better safe knowing now!

I don't understand what you mean.... you say that you are 4 months pregnant, and that you are expecting your period....this doesn't make sense.
