What is it about Virginia that you hate? I grew up in California (Bay Area) and moved to Newport News, VA when I got married - I absolutely loved it! The people were so nice, cost of living much lower,I'd go back in a heartbeat! I rarely go to California any more, it's too depressing. Give it some time, is this your first time away from home?

well how long have you been in Virginia? Been there long enough to give the place a chance? why did you move in the first place? was it job relocation, something else, or just because you felt like it? Think about the cost-benefit weigh out before you make a final decesion. After you've givin the place a chance make a list of the things you like, the things you dont, and the same thing for cali. If the overall cost to move to Virginia and then to have to move back to California outweighs the pros and cons of your new state then move. But think about other stuff besides like friends and people. what's job availability like? cost of living? do you prefer something more urban or more rural? the weather, allergies that may get to you, and so on. Which place would you like to raise your kids in (assuming you want kids and are at a point in your life where you would have them) I'm from Tx so naturally I feel my state is best and you should come here! but i've spent time in both california and in Virginia. I dont know which one I would choose to live in b/c visiting and liveing are 2 different things. Go for the one that takes less of your money away in taxes. Or go for the one that the list described above says is best.

Why did you move in the first place? It's more $$ to live here but worth it I think. There is so much to do here; tons of nature and tons of cities, the best of both worlds. Even sitting in traffic on the 5 from my job in Carlsbad down to my home in Pacific Beach is scenic with the ocean right there. Just wait till it's summer in VA with all the bugs, heat, and humidity; nothing beats summer in San Diego. Come back to Cali!

I loVeeeeeeeeeeee California. Enjoy a sweat life.
People say California is expensive but it is not true. It all depends where in CA you live and your life expectations.

Buy a nice pair of sunglasses and fly back. ;-))

People are much nicer in CA ... Life is so much easier there.

Okay first of all you're asking a bunch of people who ask questions like,"What should I get my boyfriend for Valentines Day?" And, "How come my kitten gets cold sores on her lips?" and,"Am I too fat?", and, "Will a rabbitt kill my Yorkie?" and, "Will the men in white coats come get me today?" See my point?
