While I understand why you're asking, and I'm a big believer in this forum, this is no place to ask questions regarding bankruptcy. Why? First of all, laws very widely between states.

If you are considering bankruptcy, you will need to consult an attorney anyway, so it would be best to list these type questions and schedule an appointment. Almost all bankruptcy attorneys provide the initial consultation and recommendations free of charge.

The same goes for any issues for which you will be seeking professional advice (ie legal, financial, etc.).

Asking a chapter legal professional should you will have to dossier chapter is like asking an coverage salesclerk if you want coverage. The reply is inevitable. Bankruptcy is also your nice alternative, however earlier than consulting an legal professional, make an appointment with a credit score counselor. It would possibly prevent plenty of cash ultimately.

you need a bankruptcy attorney to help you. if you don't you'll screw yourself. and it's not worth filing for banckruptcy for small stuff like student loans. figure out away to pay it back. remember for 7 years you can buy a car, rent an apartment, or anything.
