well, as to where I stand, it's pretty much as always - I want to be friends, and our friendship to grow, and be good friends - but at this point i can't see anything else. I haven't heard God nudging me, or calling me to go further, so right now I am just really hoping that things won't come between us being friends, and that we'll still be able to have the fun we've always had together. I would really be sad if you started distancing yourself from me and our friendship broke up - so I really hope that won't happen!

That she wants you to be her friend but that nothing else can come of it, the friendship can develop but she has is waiting for God to give her the OK to take things further. Sounds to me like she wants to keep you near enough that you don't find someone else, but far enough away so that she does not have to commit to you. Maybe she is keeping her options open and waiting to see if she gets a better offer, and if not she'll come running to you.

Seems like she just wants to be friends buddy
I mean at least she cares for you to word it like that and be honest
She seems genuine and still wants to continue a friendship with you which might just better off than an actually boyfriend/girlfriend relationship especially for now, but who knows time might change things!

She values your friendship and hopes that any of your deeper feelings dont get confused. She is clear she wants to be your friend but nothing more.
It doesnt appear to be a "read between the lines" email. But I would doubt the sincerety of anyone who tells you this in an email and not to your face.

she's tryin to let you down slowly and softly without breaking your heart. i think that she is feeling that you have something for her, other than friendship. she might detect that youre crushing on her, that you want to go in another direction, other than friends.
she might be interested in another person, and doesnt want to hurt your feelings by dating someone else. she appears to value your friendship, even tho she doesnt want to pursue anything more than that. she seems to have strong feelings for you, but as a friend, maybe even a sister stand point.
let her know that you value her as well. even IF you wanted more than friendship, respect her wishes and keep it in the "friend zone" and maybe one day something more will bloom. give it time, and give her time. if she sees that you respect her enough to give her a -real- friendship, maybe one day she'll see you as someone she'd like to get serious with...that is, if you would like that, too.
she seems to be geniune and really caring, so just be patient. you have a good friend there.

I think its pretty obvious what she means. But if you keep thinking differently I bet she will too. I would suggest trying to hang around her as much as possible and call her whenever you can. The more attention you give to her the more she will like you. Double points if you tell her you love every chance you get.
