I've grown cacti for years and they really don't need much water.
In fact you will drown a cactus if you water it too much.
My schedule for watering cactus is as follows:

Beginning May 1st - water once a month (small pot or single cactus {8" diameter or less} give only approximately 2 oz. or 1/8 cup~~~~~large pot or multiple cacti {10" or larger diameter} give no more than 4 oz. or 1/2 cup total.

Starting October 1st - water only once until May 1st comes around again. I usually water sometime around Christmas or New Year.

If you put your cactus outside for the summer, bring it in from the rain, or if you can't and it gets really wet, drain off the extra water.
It CAN"T sit in water.

From spring to fall, if the rains have stopped, water them once every two weeks. Let the saucers fill up and sit for a few minutes so the soil will absorb the water, then drain them. During the rainy season remove the saucers. Cacti can actually shut their roots off so they don't absorb any more water than they need. Pot them in cactus mix. It has bone meal in it which will help them flower. They can take as much sun as you can give them. Succulents on the other hand like to be watered at least once a week and do not like as much sun because they can burn easily. Be careful because occasionally you may buy what you think is a cactus and it turns out to be a succulent. If it looks like a cactus but doesn't have spines the odds are it is a succulent.

you probably water your cactus too much. cactus don't need much water, that's why they grow in the hot, humid dry weather. look at the cactus that grow in the desert. they don't get much water, only when it rain. try to water when the soil is dry, which is maybe about 3-4 days. maybe you should try to water them once a week....

Not very often.
Depending on the size of the cacti and the size of the pot.
If you think about the desert, it rains very infrequently.
That is why cacti are so fat - they store water - no leaves to loose water.
Try 3 or 4 times a year. :0) If they start to shrivel - add water.

Depends on the size of the cactus. If it's tiny, not as much. If it's larger, just be sure not to over do it

Water your cacti once every week, put on calendar when you did it so you will remember.

It depends on how dry you house is. But about once every two weeks or so maybe a little longer.
