For a woman who is truly in love with her man, the ring does NOT matter.
It's the fact that you want to marry her that will cause her to jump to your arms, not the size or cost of the ring you give her.
If your girl seems to care so much about the ring, then she is not worth you marrying her...
good luck

No I don't think that's what the most important thing is yes it may be nice but what matters the most is who gave it to you? try to figure out from her what she thinks by telling her you know i saw and article that said they found a new material its like platinum but its better its weight less and kinda tell her about it and see what she says ask her but don't ask her gently pock around to find out what she likes. I hope this helped

No, I would have been cool with it. My younger sister on the other end might just tell you "no" if she discovered her ring was palladium and not platinum. It depends on the lady and her level of materialism. But for me, no I wouldn't be disappointed. Consequently, I've got the platinum. hmmm. sorry.

The material of the wedding band is not relevant..I'm engaged to be married in 3 months...He proposed me without a ring and I accepted...We plan a family and friend get together...no wedding or ring...and I feel the luckiest woman on earth!

It's important to find the right woman. The ring you choose for her should reflect the way you feel about her. If you feel she is cheap and fake, then go ahead and go the route you are seeking. Otherwise, shop wisely for the perfect ring. Thank you and good luck.

I once met a woman who was pissed that her engagement ring was 'only' 1 carat... she was telling everyone that sure she agreed to marry him but that she demanded at least a 3 carat ring within 3 years of being married or she'd dump him. Poor guy married her. Talk about shallow on her part and low self esteem on his. Sure we all like nice things, but nice can be a hug or a shared 'look'.
My husband could have proposed to me with a 25 cent ring out of a grocery store toy dispenser.
If you think she'll care then you really need to re-evaluate her values and see if they are in line with yours. If they're not, then maybe getting hitched isn't such a good idea.

If you are having to ask you must be disappointed, unfortunately men don't always realise that something like this can be an anticlimax! especially when the cow in your office has a rock the size of your fist on her finger!
But he loves you enough to get you a ring which is the main thing and in a few years time who knows when he has more money it may get replaced!

I wouldn't care about the scientific underpinnings of the material as long as I liked the ring. I would be disappointed if it was an ugly ring (regardless of material) - but then we could always take it back and exchange it for the one I liked.
