Probably b/c of the amount of Spanish that shows up in you. The way genes and ethnicities, even a small amount, decide to suddenly appear in one person or descendant seems very random. Columbian people, like Mexicans, El Salvadorians, and other hispanic people, are mixed usually with Spanish (European) and Native-American (depends on the tribe, or could be a mixture of tribes) from the Spanish explorers that came and "settled' in the Americas, and from their raping and having sex with the Native women here, in both north and central/south america. Some columbians are mixed with African, as some Dominicans and Cubans are mixed with too. Your Spanish ancestors you probably happen to resemble a lot rather than your native ancestors. My boyfriend's mother is technically white (she's mixed with European Spanish and some Italian and Irish and a drop of Native-American) and even though her native-american lineage is very small (less than 15 percent) she looks like she could be full-blooded native-american, her thick dark hair, her cheekbones, skin tone, everything. It just depends on where the gnes of that ethnicity show up. People need to realize that a certain ethnicity may not always look a "certain" way.

Genes are just funny that way. I have a friend who is japanese, her husband is a regular white guy. He has dark hair and brown eyes. She has black hair and very dark eyes. The kid has blonde hair and bight blue eyes with fair skin and looks exactly like her mother. (beautiful) feature wise. Be thankful you look unique.
