Maybe this contradicts some of the answers here, but this is from one teen to another: I have spent probably 3 or 4 years wasting my money on cheap, low-quality makeup that really doesn't look good on me. Oftentimes it just wouldn't work and I'd have to throw it away or give it to my sister or something. I am now realizing that the best thing to do is go to a high-end makeup counter and invest in a few products that really look and work great. Your face and makeup will look and work much better and you won't waste as much money on cheap makeup that doesn't get the job done. (foundation that is the wrong shade, powder that is cakey, concealer that doesn't cover, etc. "base" products are the most important to get right) I think you will actually save money in the long run by spending money on good products...think about this: you could either buy one good foundation for $30 or three bad ones for $12 each, so it makes sense to just spend the money on something good that you can try before buying it. I really hope this helps!

Depending on the age of the teen. Older counts as 16-18 and the younger 13-15 can depend on what make-up could work. The older may like all the majoir brands such as Maybeline or Covergirl, etc. The younger may swing towards Marykate and Ashley Olsen, That's So Raven, and Claire's. It depends on the girl herself, if she wants a fresh look or a mature look. Teens should however stay away from foudation, and stick to oil-free concealers for coverage.

I'd have to say Maybelline dream matte mouse (doesn't have heavy skin-clogging oils), Maybelline great lash mascara, Revlon bronzer, Avon eyeshadow palettes, and Lancome juicy tubes. These products don't break the bank and give a youthful and modern make-up look. I'd have to say though that skin care products such as Biore cleansers and Neutrogena soaps are just as important, if not moreso, than the cosmetics themselves.

You can start off with Maybelline. Don't use too much.. otherwise you'll get wrinkles earlier than you should. Just use the basics..like eyeshadow, eyeliner and blush. Try not to use foundation unless your skin is really bad. If you have nice smooth flawless skin then all you need is a little bit of lipgloss, blush and eyeshadow/eyeliner if u like.

I find makeup to be different for everyone so selecting one that would for all teens is impossible, but i would recommend something thats not heavy or will clog pores. I started using max factor pan stik first and then moved on to neutragena

Bare Minerals and Benefit, both not too over the top but great quality. Maybelline and Neutrogena aren't bad, but Covergirl sucks! And they test on animals.

Maybelline Matt Mousse and coloured eyeliners are in at the mo. They look fab and can really bring out the colours of your eyes. Also nude lips highlight your eyes even more.

Well, I use a little foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. Don't over do the eyeliner, it looks ugly when people put on too much.
