There are so many QB's that have played or still playing that you couldn't go wrong with. Everyone keeps saying Montana, Elway, and Brady, which are great picks. There is little doubt that these three players couldn't get it done, but how about Marino? or Manning? or Bradshaw? or Graham? Pick any of the top 10 QB's of all time, you can't go wrong. I would have to go with Manning. I know he just won his first championship, while Montana, Elway, and Brady have multiple, but Manning is a student of the game that we have never seen before, and seems to keep getting better. Love him or hate him, he will finish his career as one of the top three players in the NFL, all time, at any position. No, I'm not a Colts fan.

Definitely Joe Montana

On a side note, everyone else is on something. "The Drive" was not Spearheaded by John Elway, but by Joe Montana. In the 1989 Superbowl, The 49ers were losing to the Bengals 13-16 with 3:10 left, pinned on their own 8-yard line. Montana led the team on a 10-play drive down to the 10-yard line of Cincy with 39 seconds left. On the final play, Montana threw a strike across the middle in the back of the endzone for a touchdown. The 49ers won 20-16, in what is simply known as "The Drive"

No doubt about it, Dan Marino is the man! Really think about it, Elway, Montana, Young, Manning, Brady what did they all have in common! An overall team that could help each other win! What did Marino have, he had to play against the opposing team as well as his team.

Ex: Elway had TD, Smith, Sharpe and a defense! Montana had Rice, Craig, Clark, Jones, Taylor plus the defense! Samething with Young, Brady.

My point is who did Marino ever have? He had Clayton and "Super" Duper, then they vansihed. He's never had a star/ decent running back, and never had WR and a TE to help him. He's done everything on his one, meaning everybody in the league automatically knew that the Dolphins were gonna fight their battle in the air, never having to worry about the presence of a runner! Think bout it!!!!!!!!!

My Fav. player of all time is Brett Favre and I would still choose Marino over him in a heartbeat! He's got the records! Only QB to pass over 5000 yds in a season! Had 48 actual throwing TD's, not shovel ones included (Manning 49 TD). The only thing he lacked and most Caucasian QBs' can relate was hsi speed and quickness. He'd stay in the pocket kill the defenders, you all remember, I was only 3 then and remember very well!!!!!!!!!

I just want to point out that some guy above me said PEYTON MANNING. WTF is wrong with you, man??!!

The truth is, students of the game cannot go wrong with the Elway, Montana or Brady. Roger Staubach can also lay claim to the greatest finisher. Outside of those 4, you have a pretty tough case to make.

But to come out here and say Peyton Manning, after numerous postseason collapses and jittery pocket feet under pressure, is to label oneself a complete moron.

Manning has a Super Bowl now. That's nice. Dominick Rhodes should have been the MVP. But to tout him in the same breath as late game, pressure performers like Montana, Brady, Elway and Stabauch is to disrespect the game.

Even though I am a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Troy Aikman (which could also get the job done pretty effectively) I would have to say without a doubt I have never seen anyone better at the 2:00 drill that John Elway.

Jim Harbaugh--he was called "Captain Comeback" for a reason!
Peyton Manning actually has a better 2 minute drive success rate than Tom Brady, so despite not wanting to get into a debate about the differences between them, I would choose Peyton in this case as far as active QBs goes.
