I have relatively clear skin now but what makes it look worse than it is are the scars. How can I get rid of them?

I use the Neutrogena At-Home Microdermabrasion kit. The results take a few weeks but they are great.

I also use the Murad products that are designed for scar removal.

Good Luck!

I've been using Sudden Change Scar Zone A (Acne Treatment + Acne Scar Diminishing Cream). It contains salicylic acid, so it should not be used with products that contain benzoyl peroxide. You just apply it twice a day. I've been using it for about a week, and I haven't broken out. I haven't seen any results with my scars, but only time will tell. It's a bit on the pricey side for the amount you get, but it seems to be worth it for an over the counter product.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Wash your face in the morning and at night with something like Noxema or Ponds, something gentle that won't hurt irritate your skin. While your sleeping your face develops oils and dirt which you leave on the pillow case, until your next wash, so it's a good idea to wash twice a day. As for scars, I would check with a dermatologist. There is also that product the Jessica Simpson endorses, but I can't recall the name of it.

Yeah, I have the same problem too because when I had pimples I squeezed them and they left some ugly scars. Well, I used a little bit of lemon juice and it seems better. I'm not sure you can 100% get rid of all of them so if it doesn't help try finding a nice concealer that's not oily.

Ask your dermatologist about Obagi, Murad or Refinity. All are skin care regimens you will have to use at least twice a day for awhile but the results are well worth it. Also can be expensive but when you think about the procedures you would have to have done it's well worth it. I would not trust a doctor or esthetician who wanted to do procedures first without trying it this way first. You would really have to commit to stick to it cuz sometimes you won't feel like it. AND, don't sleep in your make-up.

I have one at the moment!!! ..from popping my pimple. And its Valentine's Day tomorrow! Urgh. Well, as of now (the night before), i try to put on lots of vitamin E (lotion) at all times.. and it is looking better now. The redness has gone down. To get rid of the scars..use lots of vitamin E lotion. I've heard it works.

Go see a dermatologist and ask about getting a prescription for Retin-A or Differin.

These products help promote cell turnover and collagen production.
