Get a flash drive get ur valuables into the drive and reinstall windows or watever u use, i doo this all the time and theres a slim chance of keeping the virus on the drive, then get norton and do a file scan on the flashdrive and once its all clear load the files into your computer and try to be clean.

Sorry. Suggest you go into Safe Mode NOW and run a full virusscan. Better to run from Safe Mode to hopefully catch self-executable viruses.

Turn your PC on or Restart. As soon as you see the black and white screen, press and hold the F8 key. Continue holding until you see a black and white menu. Safe Mode is F3 or F5. From Start, Programs, run your AV program.

When it is finished, Restart. You will probably find your icons messed up. No biggee. Drag them back into place.

Go to sym,antec.com, in the search windows type in the virus name. It will come up with information on that virus and talk you through removing it.
