There is no news like old news. I was suprised this even made the headlines this morning. No doubt followed up by another come back and an exclusive interview in the sunday papers "My drug hell - read the REAL story of Robbie's drug and drink binges!". It is all too predictable.

I wish I had the cash to go on drug binges then check myself into a cushy retreat for a couple of months.

Sorry, this is more rant than question. What is your opinion of Robbie's "tormented" life?

I agree with you 110%, these celebs binge then go to rehab, binge again and go to rehab, have the best treatment that costs in excess of £10,000 per week and then when they become 'clean' are praised as if they've done it all on their own. My opinion of Robbie's tormented life is he has too much too young and it's gone to his head, he has no friends, if he wants to have a game of football he flies 'friends' over. He cancelled his last tour because he was suffering from stress - stress from what exactly - being too overpaid. He doesn't even bother to sing at his concerts because he lets the crowd do it for him. Mainlining presscription drugs seems to be the next rock and roll gimmick - Anna Nicole Smith also springs to mind. I personally think Robbie Williams is gay and that maybe the underlying cause to all this anx he's going through.

Well I wish him well.

At least he went for help. Had he died there would have been Headlines about how sad it was and asking why he didn't seek help.

He should leave all that showbiz life behind. He is a wonderful entertainer and would be missed but he would be much better off. When he leaves the hospital he should go back to his family in England and just take it easy for a while. His mum will take care of him.

I would love to give him a bit of advice....wish I were his friend. He needs a true friend right now.

I wish you well Robbie. Remember everything passes and you will be feeling better in no time at all. It is not possible to be loved or liked by everyone but you are lucky because you only have to look at the recordings of your concerts to see the vast numbers of people who care for you.Why would you be bothered about the music charts. That is unimportant. Think of all the people who are really ill or have no money to buy food and for whom every dawn brings only pain and suffering....that will put things in their right order for you.

Take it easy Robbie and may your Angel keep you safe.God Bless.x

I am really not bothered. I find the guy to be an attention seeker and to be honest it is probably a ploy to get more sympathy given Take That's recent success and given the fact that he probably won't win any awards at the Brits tonight.

The guy is a multi millionaire who craves public adoration and then spits his dummy out when he feels he is not getting enough. I have just returned from Rwanda where people are still suffering the effects of the 1994 genocide - thousands of women were victims of multiple sexual assualts; hundreds of thousands of people have no surviving family members as they had been systematically slaughtered and none of these people are seeking therapy.. they are just quietly trying to rebuild their shattered lives.

Robbie Williams needs to get over himself and go visit a country where there is real pain and suffering!!!!!

I go with Crufty and David. He is an extremely talented chap. I've seen him in concert - he's amazing, my kids love him...unfortunately, like a lot of people he has an inner emptiness/loneliness that he hasn't yet resolved. His mum was a lone parent and he didn't know his Dad, for many - whether you are a grubby kid on a council estate or a superstar idolised by millions - issues from childhood can take a lifetime to resolve. So - up yours - to the ignorant replies here calling him a f%t pr*&£ ect... totally UP YOURS.

It sad when you see how much he has achieved. I cant say I'm a great fan of his, but when you look at celebrities, not many of them seem to have what we would call a normal life?. Its a shame that they cant settle and be happy. I wouldn't like to see any member of my family go through it, so I can image it would be hard time for Robbie and his family. All we can do is wish them well and hope he gets through this tough time.

I think its quite sad.

He is a sufferer of depression which wrecks people's lives.

It is also poignant as there is a young man, in good health, loved by millions, massive success (both with Take That and then in his own right), is a multi millionaire, can basically go anywhere and do anything he wants - but he cannot find happiness.

I know that you seem a bit cynical about it, but try and look at what is going on behind the facade. Remember, there is a real person there who is really suffering.

Haven't you noticed the pattern yet ?

The story of "his drug hell" comes out , then a couple of weeks later , he is making an inspirational rehabilition , then (yawn ) a couple of weeks later ...... the new album is announced

His album is coming !

Its crazy what money does to you. Look at all the people who have checked into rehab lately. They know they have a problem but they wont admit it until they go into rehab. I mean, the man has gone though good times and bad. He moved to LA awhile ago and I bet thats what made hime go into rehab. Look what LA does to people. I am never moving there.

Surprise surprise! Hes just doing it for a bit of publicity because hes not doing so well with album sales and all that. Hes so arrogant, I bet he wishes he had gone on tour with Take That now.
