I own a 2000 Chevy Lumina and my driver side window won't roll up. It rolls down just fine but when trying to roll it up it gets stuck and I have to struggle to get it back up. Any ideas? Thank in advance!

Common problem on Gm products, especially this time of year with windows freezing and trying to lower them when frozen. You need a new window regulator, which usually comes with the motor. The fault is the window regulator is bent, causing it to bind. GM has tons of problems with them, they are just made real cheap and are very prone to getting bend under strain. ps, pay the few extra dollars and have your shop use a GM factory equip regulator when replaceing it, the part store ones work, but dont last, we tried and finally stopped using them and went back to the factory parts. Good luck

Those are Permanent Magnet motors, so there are NO brushes in the motor. The switch seems to act in upward, so Id say its those guides on there which wear out and cause trouble.

There are two nylon reinforced plastic window guides on that window glass. One or both have gone bad. They snape into the glass thru a hole. You can replace those yourself if handy. Remove the door side panel and youl see them there. Cut the old ones out with a jacknife and snap a new one in then jamb it into the guide it will pop right into there.

Get those at Chevrolet dealer, they cost $2.50 each.
Autozone too sells them but they arent any good so use the GM exact replacemnt parts.

If its electric, I'm guessing the carbon brushes got wet or worn out in the motor. You can buy new brushes or new window motor. If it's a manual window, something is either broke, bent, worn out or jammed in there.I have replaced the brushes in an electric motor. It's an hour or two job minimum.
