You can't think of something to talk about because you are so preoccupied with what to talk about.
Typical guy stuff until he learns to value talking about anything and everything. Just remember there are many things that are going on in a life. You just have to be willing to talk about subjects that you may find uncomfortable of silly. This is your girlfriend so it is fine to talk about the things that most guys just won't traverse guy to guy.
If you don't know what to say just ask your girl for help. There is no shame in asking for a little help when you are at loss for words. The art of conversation is an acquired skill for most people. The more you talk the more you learn what to talk about.
Just have some fun and enjoy the experience.

Then you should tell her that, then you will start a conversation about what to talk about. If this doesn't work you have nothing in common with this girl or you would be talking.

If she's your girlfriend you should have plenty to talk about??!!?You and ur girlfriend should have lots in common and a similar sense of humor etc.... if not, you shouldn't be with her??

Instead of just talking ask questions. Don't drill her, but ask her about vacations she's had and her younger days in school, it will let you add on some of your experiences.

talk abt her day, activities, plans, next weekend, next month, next holidays....
