Those aren't the only "strange" things in that show. There are a bunch of coincidences and parallels to wade through. But that's part of the whole mystery thing, which is why I'm hooked.

Sun slept with someone else before coming to the island. Remeber the guy that was giving her english lessons when she was planning to leave jin? Well she slept with him so i'd say the baby is his. I don't think her pregnancy has anything to do with the island.
I'm not sure I buy the whole intentional killing of juliets husband either. It seems fairly implausible that they were able to plan exactly when he would step out into the street. I hope you're right though, it'd make it more interesting and sinister.
