Because if you take it for granted, pay no attention and leave the preservation of freedom to others you will wake up one day and find it gone. Think this cannot happen? That is the first problem to consider.

There's 2 kinds of freedom:
1.Freedom to do good or pro- survival actions.
2.Freedom to do things that are contra- survival.

The first one is being done by Responsible individuals while the 2nd one is being done by irresponsible individuals.

Responsible individuals do actions that are pro-survival. This benefits himself and most areas of his life and others associated with him.Given freedom, he will develop ideas and do actions for the upliftmnt of society. Therefore, this is more ideal.
An irresponsible person waits for everyone to take responsibility and in the absence of that he can't and will not do something to make things right. He will do contra-survival actions because basically he doesn't care about the effect of his actions on others so he creates chaos in himself and society.Given freedom to do so will not benefit society rather, it will create destruction and confusion.

Therefore, freedom is only for responsible individuals.

Freedoms are alloted to everyone equally in the US. However, under some circumstances, some freedoms can be withdrawn either permanently or temporarily. For example, if someone commits a crime, they will lose their physical freedom, and while incarcerated they will also lose other freedoms as punishment for their crime such as no TV or no cigarettes. Also, do not confuse freedoms with true rights. Neither are 100% guaranteed under all circumstances, and they are both different.

Freedom is for everyone, but when irresponsible people screw up, then they loose their freedom and end up in the prison system. Then they have lost their individual freedom.

I imagine you meant responsible. ( See the Check Spelling Box?)
It is not only for responsible individuals. Irresponsible individuals(criminals) have freedom.

Did you mean the dichotomy between free will and predestination instead?

Freedom is for everybody. It's the consequences that defer people from doing what they wish.
