The problem I am having is that my scar itchesall the time.. As a woman knows that the scar is somewhat numb from nerves being cut. My scar itches so much at times and there is nothing I can do to relieve it any suggestions. I have tried creams lotions scratching until it hurts because the nerves that are not numb get irritated but I am always scratching and am not able to get any relief, I hate to look like I am "playing with myself " or always scratching like I am diseased or something. Any and all suggestions will we greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Cocoa Butter? Like Shea's Cocoa Butter lotion? The stuff stinks to high heaven but it really does help with itchy skin. I had incrediably itching skin with my first pregnancy and this pregnancy is starting to get the same way. The only relief was to try different lotions...
Also, check your laundry detergent. It could be irritating your sensative skin. We use Allen's Naturally or any all natural detergent with no perfumes are additives will be gentler on your skin. Also, fabric softners and bleach on make the itching worse - they leave a residue on your clothes.

I just had my 4th C-section ('98, '00, '04, '06) and I know all about the itching. I have tried a lot of things, but my problem is I can't stand to touch it due to the numbness. The best thing for the itching so far was aquaphor by Eucerin. Hope it helps!

Mine did that for years also and my doctor just kept telling me that it was healing. The only thing that helped was baby powder...good luck
