I think the focus of the Galxay will continue to be building a team around Landon Donovan. Beckham may still have some fire, but let's face it: he's not what he was 5 years ago. I wouldn't be quick to say that he will dominate the league or anything like that.
Even so, I will make sure I go to see Beckham play if the Galaxy comes to play Chicago after his arrival.

yeah he'll probly come in and take over but to tell you the truth hes good but i think that there are players in the MLS that are just as good as he is they just dont get as much publicity as he does. but to answer your question, yes he'll probly be the captain. although i dont think he deserves to get it his first year playing in the league.
