In a recentl;y answered question it was stated that 5150 boards were made by Ride and in another answer i heard someone said that most snowboards are made in the same factorys?. Also ages ago i heard a rumour that Elan made snowboards for 10 different snowboard brands? Is any of this true and if so what factory produces snowboards for what different brands?

I don't really know the specific details but there are only a few factories that produce snowboards. And you'd be surprised at who owns who. K2 owns Liquid, Ride, Morrow and 5150. Quicksilver owns Mervin (Gnu and Lib) as well as Rossignol. Burton owns Forum and Geenyus.

The big guys like Burton have their own factories as do most of the Ski companies. It's a safe bet to assume that many of the smaller guys are made in someone else's factory. Elan is a well known factory that makes boards for a lot of people. None of this is really a secret but most companies don't really put it out there either.
