I realise I may have made some mistakes, but I also realise I love him so much. It was very unexpected. I am shocked that he called me to call the relationship off. I was thinking of calling to his house in 2 weeks time to discuss things over with him.I was thinking that he may have made a hasty decision. I am unsure what to do. Does anyone have any advise.

Nope...sounds like he's ready to move on and didn't want any drama from you so he called you instead of telling you in person. May I suggest you do the same? (Move on) Your feelings will go in due time.

Sure. Talk it over with him. But don't expect that he will reconsider. He may or may not. At least you will get a good lesson out of it. Admit you made mistakes, and learn from it. Perhaps it will help you with your next relationship.
By the way.. relationships are not set in stone. Just because you've been in the relationship for 18 months, or that you love him doesn't mean it's the right relationship for you, or for him. The best thing for you now is to talk to him and accept the consequences. You can always find another guy.

I beg you please move on I went through the same song and dance with one of my X's and it lasted for 3 years. Your feelings will heal and you will find some one else. If a person walks out of your life let them go. And if he tries to come back make him work for it. It takes two to make a relationship work so if he has decided to move on, you have to respecit his decision.
