I should provide more details to narrow down what I want for a career. I like to be in control and be my own boss. I don't like to be pushed around by anyone. I'm no good with math or money so trading or stocks online probably won't be good for me. I love making movies and my dream is to be somewhere in the entertainment industry. I might be able to work with people but not counsel them. I'm not into telemarketing or selling.

Hi, I'm a recruiter. Unfortunately people without degrees tend to have jobs, not careers. To advance and go into any well paying field or office work you need a degree. Without a degree you would have to focus on retail or restaurant work. You might be able to get a receptionist position but I doubt you could move up very far from there. If you want to be in control and be your own boss, you're never going to do that without college. Most people who go to college can't even get that. I'm not suggesting that you can't live without college, but you will have to scale back your expectations about what kind of job you can get. If you aren't going to get any more schooling, my advice is to try and work your way up in retail.

I think you answered your own question when you said that you love making movies and want to be in the entertainment industry. Sure you do not have to have a college degree to work there but you do need a foot in the door. People work there way up several different ways, but are usually broke for a long time and even though you don't like being pushed around- that industry is very pushy and you have to be able to kiss up to the right people to find any job leads. You can always try making a fantastic short movie and submitting it left and right to every film festival- you are your own boss there- but you also need to either convince friends to be in you movies or have some money. Either way good luck... it's hard to get by without those- you have to be pushy yourself.

You're being awful picky for someone without a degree, marketable skills or unique abilities.

Go to college and get a degree. It will only increase your ability to get any of the jobs you want.

You'll regret not doing it.

Get a job as a stage hand, its hard work but the pay is good. There's plenty in LA. There also is a film school where you can do both.

A lot of jobs do not require a degree, especially if you have experience.
It is easy to get a job in sales, they train you and with experience you can make a lot of money.
