Intel to reveal 80-core supercomputer processor
DigiTimes - Feb 12, 2007
Intel on February 12 announced that its researchers have developed the world's first programmable processor to deliver Teraflop (one trillion calculations per second) performance from a single, 80-core chip.

I have a hard time imagining one trillion of anything. (Except maybe cells.)

About 10 billion cubic feet. If you have a hard time imagining a trillion of anything, that's good, because you won't be able to imagine how many dollars our government has pissed away down that particular rathole known as Iraq.

My guess would be, take an area the size of Texas, and fill it three feet deep in jellybeans.

It's a lot.

Edit: Oh. Two square miles, eh? That's not so bad.
LOL
