You will need to subscript to a broadband service (cable or DSL internet). They should supply you with a cable/DSL modem that brings the signal into your home/business. You would then purchase a wirless router (around $40-50). The wireless router will attach to the DSL/Cable modem and will broadcast a radio signal (about 150 feet/50 meters) which your laptop should be able to receive and use to connect to the internet. You can attach multiple computers to the router and its signal and share the single Internet connection between them if needed.

Call your broadband ISP to see if they offer a wireless modem. If you not, you would need to purchase and setup a wireless router. You would need to configure the wireless router to your modem. After that, hopefully your laptop will automatically detect the ISP. If not you will need to configure it as well. Lastly, put a password on your wireless connection. If you do not, others in your apartment might be able to connect to your router, and hog your bandwidth.

you dont get wifi(u mentioned wireless)connection everywere u go.
Instead you can get a DATA CARD from gsm or cdma service provider which gives you maximum coverage and u can connect from anywhere.
If you are in INDIA u can get this connection from reliance or airtel or tata indicom, etc.
