and they want to put this guy into the hall of fame

If you looked at him when he played for the Pirates, he was a little skinny guy with a small head. 80 lbs and 2 full hat sizes later, your gonna tell me he's not on steroids? People are ignorant. When his trainer refuses to testify against him and would rather spend time in jail, you know they're trying to cover something up. I hope he doesn't get into the hall, just like they turned Mark McGwire down.

bonds was never that small

yes, he did gain 30 pounds of muscle over the offseason between 2000 and 2001, but there is no proof he has ever take steroids intentionally

they should put him in the hall of fame...he was first member of the 500/500 club. 500HR and 500 Stolen Bases, 7 time NL MVP, 73 HR in one season, he will retire with the all time home run record, somewhere around 770 or so. that record wont stand for too long though, a rod will hit near 800 if he stays injury free, pujols will hit even more than a rod.

in my eyes bonds is a hall of famer, no question about it

He definitely bulked up a ton from his early days, way more than what is natural. And it's clearly steroids that did it. Why? Firstly, you're telling me a guy whose whole life is baseball and training doesn't know what substances he takes in? That's like saying an Olympic skier doesn't know what kind of poles he uses. Secondly, assume he's not taking steroids. And all of a sudden puts on 30+ pounds of mass in a short period of time. That's just plain not natural. When your hat size increases by 3 notches, you freak out and see a doctor... unless you already know the reason.

As for hall of fame, that's a tough one. Before he turned into super-Barry, he had a Hall of Fame career going. The question is, does using steroids invalidate that? Are the steroids, lies, and bad attitude important enough to outweigh his undeniable talent? If I had my choice, yes. Shoeless Joe and Pete Rose are denied for less. Maybe we can put him on a contingent list of "blacklisted Hall of Famers."

What the hell are you smokin', Bonds wasn't 125, 4 years ago!!! He may have been 125 when he was 14!!!! They want to put him in the Hall of Fame because he is one of the greatest players of all time!!!

He might not have been 125 lbs but I understand what you are saying. People who support Bonds might as well hide their heads in the sand. Bonds is a cheater and belongs in jail. Anyone who would let someone else (Greg Anderson) do his jail time for him should be kicked out of baseball. Let's hope he never gets into the hall of fame.

It is sad because Bonds probably could have been a Hall of Famer if he didn't go on steroids. He was a great base stealer and hitter back then. He was also a great fielder. Due to that I actually think Bonds should be in the HOF.
