It's just a series of adverts run by Apple to highlight some common misconceptions about Mac computers, and to challenge their reasons for not considering a Mac over a PC.

The UK advert at the moment is copied directly from the US advert, and features British comedians Mitchell and Webb instead of American actors. The advert is saying that while there were 114,000 viruses for PCs last year, none of these affected Mac computers. Of course, Macs aren't completely immune to viruses, but they're harder to crack and due to their smaller market share, virus-authors tend not to bother trying.

You can view the entire range of US adverts on Apple.com, or a smaller handful or the UK adverts at Apple.com/uk. They're rather amusing, although hardcore PC fans may take some offence.

There are two types of PC's: Mackintosh (apple) and IBM compatible. The differences are similar to the differences between the Xbox and the Playstation. They both do similar things. The main difference between them is that software is not compatible. For instance you cannot play a playstation game on an Xbox. This is the same for Mac's and IBM compatible PC's.

My favorite part is when they both are getting out of their boxes and Mac says to PC, "let's play" and the PC is like, "Um, I still need to get all put together."

This funny because an iMac doesn't have a separate monitor. The system is built into the screen display. The camera is also integrated and the mouse/keyboard are wireless. So, all I had to do to get going was pull it out of the box, plug it in and connect to my home wireless.

Its quite simple. Thanks to the dominance of WINDOWS on the PC, and thanks to the fact that WINDOWS is one of the worst platforms ever made, there are over 100,000 viruses available for your PC. Frankly I'd be amazed if every PC owner had not experienced a virus at least once. Apple macs are fast, have no viruses, and, if you are willing to spend a few $£ on some extra software, you can run all your PC software on the Apple Mac without having to worry about the viruses.
