Hello Paige. Here is something that you can try. It always worked for me and it would be worth trying.
Lie down on the floor (you can put a pillow under your head but don't use a real big or fluffy one) and scoot over to the couch, bend your legs at the knees and lie so that the calf of your legs is on the couch. Can you picture what I am saying? Scoot over so that your bottom is against the couch, your knees should be bent so that the calf of your legs is straight and flat on the couch. I used to do this when my cramps were really bad and they would stop instantly. Totally stop. Of course one can not get much done while in this postion but it will make the pain stop. When cramps are very severe and you just have to have a break, this will work. A hot water bottle on your tummy at the same time can be a lifesaver also, it just feels really soothing.
I hope you will try this and I hope it works as well for you as it always has for me.
Blessings
Lady Trinity~

You can try using the ThermaCare heat wraps, but if your cramps are very severe, that alone probably won't be enough.

Aleve, taken at the first sign of cramping, works best. Also, being on birth control pills can often make your cramps less painful and shorter lasting.

Hot water bottles. Reiki. Homeopathy (almost no medicine). May be even acupressure etc.

Pl. try Magnesia Phos 6X tablets or powder dissolved in hot water (take a few sips every few minutes). Also try Colocynth 30C potency pills (a few pills at a time). Both are homeopathic medicines and ask the health food store for directions how to take if needed.

Yoga and pilates. The best way to get rid of cramps is to go up to a wall, lay down and have your feet up in the air on the wall.

Drink hot tea. any teabag will do. so far as there's no milk or sugar in it. Chammomile is the most effective though.
