Can you get pregnant 5 days before ovalution?

Question

I had sex the 20th of January and the 25th of January. I was ovaluting on the 25th. And find out the 2 of Feb I was pregnant. I'm comfused

I am pregnant. How long sperm last? And I had sex the 20th of Jan and the 25th of Jan. I use a ovalution calender to know when I am ovaluting which was the 25th of Jan. I went to the doctor on the 2 or 3 of Feb. and found out I was pregnant also had blood work done which my hcg level was 102. I curious what date could I got pregnant? 20th or 25th

I had a period 11 or 12 of January.

yes you can...that was the same with me too..but in august for me...sperm can live in the body for up to 5 days...till they have reached the egg..it takes a long time to travel through the fallpoian tubes...congrats..and goodluck..

Wel there are a couple of things here....Number one how are you sure you ovulated on the 25th? Are you using a monitor or a ovulation kit or are you just going by rule of thumb 14 day deal? I found out that I ovualted on day 10 and not 14. If you are positive you ovulated on day 25 then maybe the sperm lived inside if you from the 20th...I have once heard sperm can live up to 7 days...I always thought was a bit long but maybe it's true...Did you have a period in January? Is it possible that you got pregnant in Decemeber?
I would say if you weren't using some type of fertility monitor you maybe ovualted earlier this month...but good luck girl! congrats!

Honey, I hate to break it to you after the horses are out of the barn, but you can get pregnant by having sex...it does not matter what time of the month it is.

There are obviously times when you are more susceptible than other times, but pretty much if you had intercourse you are rolling the dice and taking your chances.

Even without penetration, it can happen. I heard of a woman who did not wash her hands after a particularly strong "petting" session, then touched herself "down there" and next thing you know those little strong swimmers got in and found their way to an egg.

If you did not know that sex leads to pregnancy, it is time to see a counsellor regarding unplanned pregnancies to hear your options. Check the yellow pages, or speak with a guidance counsellor if you are still in school.

U can get pregnant anytime after your period but it's just easier to get pregnant when your ovulating cuz the eggs r right there n the sperm doesn't have to swim as far lol...Congratulations on your preg n have a wonderful wk.

You could have gotten pregnant from eiter of the times you had sex. Sperm can live up to 5 days inside you.

I think you can because I am 9 weeks pregnant and when I found out I was already 4 weeks and it had to of happened before I was ovulating. That's how it seems to me.

Sperm can survive in a female body for over 3 days. You can get definitely get pregnant.

If you are pregnant then yes! Oviously you can. I don't think you know for sure if you're are pregnant or you are going through denial. Otherwise you woulnd have asked this question of which you are clear proof of the answer. Good luck.

Sperm can last for a few days inside of you. So, it may be that that is what caused it. It could also be that your ovulation date was off by a day or so. Congratulations!!

How do you know you ovulated on the 25th? Were you using ovulation tests? You can't get pregnant unless you ovulate..you must have ovulated early..
