A bright star is of spectral type B8 it has a luminosity of 130 times that of the sun...?

What is the star's approximate surface temperature? Do you just gestimate it or is there a mathematical formula to find it?

The spectral type depends on the surface temperature of the star (the luminosity has nothing to do with it). A B8 star would be about 10,000 K, but you may want to look up a more exact value.
