She skipped the sugar pills? Yes, that can cause a missed period. Women do that in order to skip periods, and it's the concept behind the 4-periods-a-year Seasonale.
Also, if she missed three pills in the last week of her pack, she could possibly have ovulated (about a 30% chance). If you two had unprotected sex, you may wish to take a pregnancy test.

It shouldn't. The only thing it might do is mess up the effectiveness of the pill. Doctors suggest that if you miss two days of active pills to take them right away when you remember. If you miss more than that you should stop, have a period and then start fresh. The sugar pills don't do anything but keep you in the habit of taking a pill everyday, even if you through the sugar pills out you will still have a period. If she takes all the active pills and then skips the sugar pills and starts her next active pills she will skip a period.

I would say maybe not missed, but late or have some spotting... cause she messed up the usual cycle.. I would have her call her doctor though...
I was told by the lady I go to, that if I miss a pill, and realize it in a few hours to take it, but it its much later just to take two pills at one time. I was never told about more than two... I forgot to take the pill the one day and took two the next and after that I had light spotting til my period came, it sucked!
Also..this could be a rumor but I heard from a friend that her gyno told her that two pills equals the morning after pill, so its going to be a stronger dosage and your body might take affect to it differently..3...thats alot....

As far as I know, the morning after pill is the equivalent of 2 birth control pills. And I never took my sugar pills. But if she has any questions or concerns, she should call into her doctors office and speak with someone right away.

No, there is not any longer probable a huge gamble you'll be pregnant. i'm announcing no longer probable via fact there is usually a soft threat in each thing. however the probabilities of you being pregnant are reallyyyy narrow in case you took the third final lively pill in the previous you had intercourse. i'm no longer an expert, yet i grew to become into terrible at remembering to take my BC, and that i in no way have been given pregnant from unprotective intercourse. whether, given which you forgot to take pills you have an abnormally long/heavy era. have exciting with that! =/

nope. but it can cause pregnancy...you might be in BIG trouble.
It might just throw her cycle off but you'd better get a test right away...
And just for future reference, the Pill really only has an average sucess rate of 88% as it is.....not taking it correctly lowers it significantly.
If she misses more than one day, you had better find another method of birth control that month.....or start buying Pampers.
