television and the media blow celebs up and make them seem to be like God. If everyone had as much money as oprah brad and angelina I think they would be helping out the world too.Even though I think its great their very helpful, I just think some people think their really like God.

I don't know that people worship Oprah (seriosuly, if someone has a shrine set up to her in their house then they've got some serious problems...) they just find her entertaining and inspirational. At least she tries to help people. Why the heck to people idolize people like Paris Hilton? She's so stinking selfish!

I don't know about "worship" but some people just are not happy with their own lives and look up to these people. If they use this to inspire themselves to action in their own lives then I am all for it. Just as long as it isn't an idol worship that leads to crazy stalking.

I think it's because people often feel their own lives are not special and they latch onto these celebrities so they can dream that their own lives have identity and individuality.
