It depends if you are the traditional type or the more modern.
For traditional types the 5th anniversary is wood --so you could plant her a garden with her favorite plants and trees. The Bonsai tree is also a remarkable gift (wood) with meanings of strength and bonding. They also can live a long time with proper care.
If you are more modern the 5th anniversary is silverware---you could make a romantic dinner with some beautiful silver candlesticks and new sparkling silverware and dishes.
Just a thought---good luck to ya!
And Happy Anniversary!

I think that you should try to ask her lots of questions about general stuff just to get hints about something that she really wants. You could even ask her mom, sisters, best friend. Since she has been so good to you (I can tell buy the way you talk about her) I would make sure to get her a really nice card and write all the things that you love. like how she makes the kids laugh or how she works hard just like you and watches baseball with you etc. I am so glad you love your wife so much. Happy Anniversary and many more to come!! Good Luck and God Bless

Can you afford some jewelry? I doubt she would not appreciate (something that a 5 in it, such as 5 rings together if they make it, or a 3 for the 3 kids, make it symbolic if you can). The get away week-end is great to start with anyway, and you both seem to deserve it. Happy anniversary!

My husband got me a ring with 5 stones on it. It was only $150...I don't know if that is too expensive for you or not, but I love it.
If you cannot afford something like that, then how about just getting her a card and pampering her for a week...(cooking, cleaning, etc.) I would love if my husband did that more than the jewelry.

the best gift you can give your wife for now is a lot of love , if possible spend the entire day with your wife , talk to her , share all her worries make her feel that some one is ther to look after her , care for her .
after this make a promise to your self and your wife that you will one day give her all that she can only dream , if you can do so little my friend i am sure your wife will get the best gift in her entire married life have a nice day , and happy marrage anverssary.

A beautiful frame with a recent candid picture of you both.
The frame HAS to be beautiful, which translates as caring and thoughtful. Five red roses and a white one to represent your future.

Celebrated 5 year anniv, last year. Gave my wife something different, time to herself. Away from the kids and me. A Spa package for she and her mom, their very close, and I called her favorite restaurant, gave them my Am Ex card # and told them I would pick up the tab for her bill. She went out with another married girlfriend of hers. Of course there was flowers too, and a inexpensive necklace & ring set. Altogether I spent about $200 on the spa, $125 on dinner and $250 on the flowers & jewelry. Believe me it paid off in the end !!! She still talks about how great it was as a gift. Only problem was other husbands (my friends) looked cheap to their wives in comparison !
