To reply to the "Annoying American" gentleman. It is clear that the election of 2008 is unprecedented. A woman and an African-American man have a legitimate chance at becoming president. Now, since the democrats must nominate one candidate among many, I see this question as extremely relevant. The views of politicians are important, but views change, but the character of the person stays.

I think the Democrats are conservative in their own right. They will go for the candidate that they think will be able to convince the overal majority to vote for them. Barak Obama is controversial and the most dynamic choice. That may be the reason they won't choose him. But the gamblers in this race are the candidates. Try and remember that when you watch the convention. The Democrats are determined to get back into the White House whatever sacrifices that have to make. I am personally hoping for a combination ticket of Barak en Hillary. Which ever combo works.

I say Barak Obama is probable going to be the subsequent president. he will probable be a sturdy President, lots greater valuable than George W. Bush, and much less scandals than bill Clinton. probable. Too be trustworthy, lots of the criticisms do no longer look that considerable. exceedingly after the previous seven years of a clumsy president. i do no longer blame Hillary for attempting a number of those issues. She is working for president, even with each thing.

Barack seems to have more electibility at this point than Hillary. He has a more consistent approach to the war, and is still seen as more of a uniter than is Hillary.
As for woman vs. black, I think the nation is more prepared for a black president than a female. The stereotypes of weakness in women will be far more detrimental to a campaign. On the flip side, we've had several credible portrayals of black presidents on tv and in movies, from Morgan Freeman in Deep Impact to what's-his-name (David Palmer) in 24.

I don't think that it should be rather he is black or she is a woman, it should have to do with their capacity to be a good president. I think that generally speaking Obama would be the one that people are more ready for. Not because he is Black but because we haven't seen what he can do in office, Hillary was there for 8 years already.

As a Democrat, I don't like either. I am holding out for Gore or Richardson. But, if they don't run, I'll vote for Edwards. To answer you question about only Clinton or Obama, I like Obama better. But I don't think HE is ready for America.
I believe this country is ready for both a woman and/or a black to be president. I hope Condi isn't trolling.

Obama can do the job with an incredible cabinet and input from the American people He would ask and adopt that input. I do not feel we have time for him to get kick started. Hillary has far more experience and connections--she will hit the road running.

I really don't know much about Obama, except that he is a liberal, black democrat, I do know that I would NEVER voted for that two-faced, lying, poll chasing clinton thing.
