They are smaller than the normal phones and the keypad is protected from dirt or damage from normal use.
I love my flip phone!

I don't like flip phones at all. I don't think they can do nearly as much as a slide phone can, nor do they have nearly as good reception. I own the Nokia 6265i (slide-style), which has a 2-mp camera, a miniSD card, an organizer, the ability to sync up with MS Outlook, and lots more. I love it!

The keys and the main display are protected by the flip part.
Plus, I feel like Captain Kirk.

i dont like flip-flops. especially the kind that have that thick rubber thing that runs through your big toe and ur other toe. those things hurt after awhile
