I guess she is just expressing her right to Freedom of Speech, like we all do on here.

Because she has the right to express her opinion. Because the County Music Industry turned it's back on them when she had the guts to be real about George Bush. Because the Country Music stations refused to play any Dixie Chicks CD's when they sang, "I'm not ready to make nice." Because the Dixie Chicks walked away with FIVE Grammy's in spite of all the Dixie Chicks bashing the County Music Industry dished out. Because she was right all along.

What they mentioned as a collection got here at a bad time as our troops mandatory plenty help. no count if or no longer Bush replace into appropriate or no longer replace into no longer the factor. yet their strikes completely went against national hobbies and that coated our troops putting their lives on the lines for American hobbies. what proportion muslims gained braveness, or rallied via their comments isn't familiar, besides the undeniable fact that it truthfully would have been a rallying factor for the insurgents against us as a rustic. they might have been thinking something like this "seem at those infidels, already struggling with between themselves, it purely shows that our reason is basically and proper, now circulate out and verify in greater commrades to wipe out those human beings". So confident, as a collection speaking to hundreds and finally hundreds of thousands, their perspectives in this count have been incorrect, no longer via fact of their ideals, yet via degree they used to grant them, which finally replace into the Dixie Chicks stay overall performance. i visit by no potential comprehend if it value us American lives or no longer, besides the undeniable fact that it might have.

I regret that your fellow Americans haven't been able to contribute to the dialog you would like to have here. Miss Maines does have the right to speak freely. She has done so on numerous occasions, to the consternation of certain people. I believe that the irritation, for most people, arises when an individual who speaks freely is unwilling to accept the verdict of society. Can she say what she wishes? Of course she can. She can also learn to live on a budget since she destroyed a monster career for her group. Her inability to understand that her former fan base, who couldn't disagree with her more strongly, can refuse to purchase her music is truly baffling. This is my problem with her. She can say whatever she wishes, but I can refuse to listen to her. Free speech guarantees are not venue guarantees. This is the problem that is plaguing the career of the Dixie Chicks. 5 grammys were nice, record sales are nicer.

She is an outspoken woman and I, for one, applaud her for speaking her mind. She, just as everyone else, has the right to speak freely, regardless of whether her comments are against the president or an association or not. Just as you are entitled to your opinions.
Whether you agree with her or not shouldn't matter.
I may not agree with what you say, but I will stand up and fight for your right to say it.

First amendment baby. She can say anything she wants about anything as long as it does not infringe on others rights. And just because you like country and Natalie Maines doesn't, does not infringe on any of your rights. So if you don't like what she says, don't listen.

she can voice her opinion anyway she wants. just because she is famous doesn't mean she doesn't have opinions and feelings about things. no one should treat her bad because of it. i think she is truly a great person. and also dont you guys realize how many times the president f***ed. he obviously needs to go to a speech class. of course he doesn't care about the people in america he just wants fight to the death.

Why is it that country music fans do not allow people with differing opinions to be heard?

I think you are the one taking it too far...for heavens sake. She can say what she wants. It is a free country. Get over it already.
