The creators have began negotiations to end the series somewhere around the 100 episode mark (that means we have one full season and one shortened season left). They have always said that they know the end game and have been giving us clues along the way, tracing all the way back to the first season and the skeletons they found in the cave. I think they have a resolution, but people have short attention spans and want the answers right now...which is not the basis of Lost. People should just sit back and enjoy the ride...there is not much time left in the series to do so.

Probably. I used to love the show a lot more, now it seems ridiculous at times. I still watch it, hoping something will be resolved each time I watch. I bet at the end, we will still know nothing, and I will be so angry that I wasted so much time watching! Except that I'm in love with Sawyer, so it wasn't too wasted.

Leaving the viewers with questions is how the producers make sure people will come back to watch the next season.

I think ultimately we will get answers to all the questions but the writers/ producers have to keep us watching somehow. If they reveal answers too quickly they will not have an audience.
