a little bit probably. Italian Americans are now associated with good food and beautiful women.

The mafia didn't and still doesn't have just Italians or Italian/Americans. They were a majority, but not the only members. It is a stereotype kind of like saying Irish are drunks.

They were never associated with the Italian mafia...always the US Italian mafia!

All big US mafia names are American, I cannot name ONE major story involving the Italians on US soil!!!

They may work together with drugs and what not, but I doubt one pull the others strings.

the italian mafia is still here. the godfather does not depict the true nature of the mafia.

It is politically incorrect to associate them with the mafia. Just as with any stereotype.
