Two of the funniest things I ever saw working at Wal-Mart as a CSM were (Of course, both of the two people were arrested.):

A guy brought back a VCR because it didn't work. He didn't have a receipt so they called the manager (who was a total Pr**k) up to talk to the guy. The manager was very rude to the customer and said no that he wouldn't take the VCR back. The guy got so mad that as the snotty manager was walking away he yelled "Well, you can just keep the f'ing thing then!!!" and he threw the VCR. It flew like 15 feet and bounced off the manager's head and shoulder and then hit the floor. Believe me the manager deserved it. We all wanted to chuck something at his head ourselves at times.

Second, a guy who was shoplifting. He was running from security throwing frozen foods, packs of chicken, hamburger, a whole ham, etc. out of his pants as he ran out of the store. Bbbbrrrrrrrrr!!! :)

I used to work at Babies R Us and I saw kids climb up on a freestanding isle with stroller displays. Then I went up to the kids and told them to get off. I said it pretty sternly, but it was for the kids safety. Well, his parents stopped what they were doing (which was shopping and not paying attention to thier damn kids), and came over to me to try and scold me for being stern with thier kids. I told them that thier children cannot climb on displays because they can fall and get hurt. They were more worried about me saying "You guys need to get down from there" in a not happy tone. As we were having this conversation one of thier two boys got into a elevated display stroller and did a face plant on the concrete floor because the stroller rolled off the display rack when he climbed in it. I tell you that kid screamed to high hell (I would too because I think he broke his nose) there was blood just pouring out of his face.

Later I filled out an incident report. That detailed how I was defending my actions to the child's parents as he climbed in the stroller. And of course they tried to sue. Although, I heard that they got nothing because they had a clear video of me telling the kids to get down then the parents being stupid. So Haaa

I thought it was soo funny that they were so pissed off that a retail employee (who obviously must be less than you) told thier children what to do (which is what the parents are supposed to do). They didn't notice that thier child was about to hurt himself badly.

Moral of this story: Respect the local retail employee (b*tches)

I was working in a store, and was in the back stockroom when a coworker yelled for me to come to the front. By the time I got there, the store was empty. A guy had come into the store and asked her about a product behind the counter. She turned her back to him to get the item off the shelf, and when she turned back around, he had whipped his "stuff" out onto the counter (right beside where her hand was).

We called the police (the guy was walking around outside). The police came, and made me (I was the store manager) go with them to tell the guy that he could not come back into my store.

We had a crazy guy pretending like he worked in our building. He was wearing a bus drivers uniform that looked like it had not been changed in several weeks, the smell proved that!

The look on my boss's face when he realized I was re-wiring a 480V 30A plug with the power still on. I though he was going to soil his under-garments!!! It was beautiful.
