I have had a hard time getting pregnant.. took my husband and I almost 2 years. I also just had surgery for endo in october.. and got pregnant in december. now I am 11 weeks pregnant.. but I just had my ultrasound yesterday.. everything looked fine.. is there a reason he wants me back in four weeks?!?! is there something wrong he just didn't tell me.. or is it just extra caution cause of my surgery? it would be to early to tell the sex... so i'm confused.

You should see the doctor every four weeks up until about 28 weeks, and then you will switch to two weeks, and then at 35 weeks, they will see you every week!!! You are 11 weeks, so you will go in again at 15, and then again at 20 weeks. At yoru 20 weeks or around that time you will have an anatomy scan where they make sure measurements are good, and everything is there!!!

Trust me you will want to go in as much as possible, just for reassurance that your baby is okay!!! Enjoy going...you get to see your little one. I have not seen my guy since 24 weeks and I hate it!!! I am 31 weeks, and the next time I will see him will be when he is in my arms, as long as everything goes well!!!

Dont stress...this is normal!!! Enjoy it!

If there was something to worry about I am sure he would have told you yesterday. Most ob appointments are set 4 weeks apart. It sounds like everything is fine with what little enfo you gave. If you are that worried that something maybe wrong call the office and see if you can find out more. But the best thing for you to do is relax and enjoy the fact there is a baby on the way. Try not to let other things bother you.. Congrats..

Honey, don't be so nervous ! But I understand. It took us two years too.But my perfectly healthy girl is 18 now ! It's normal for your doc. to see a woman every 4-6 weeks during her pregnancy if there was infertility or any other unusual factors, like your surgery. My doctor saw me very often just as a procaution. Just try to relax and be grateful for his vigilance. I am almost certain if he'd seen anything wrong he would have made at least some casual mention of it. I know how precious this pregnancy is to you and I'll bet he does too. Good Luck !

Who wants to see you in 4 weeks? The doctor or the ultrasound tech? You didn't say.

I am assuming it's the doctor. And 4 weeks is the standard time to watch over a pregnant Mom. It just makes good sense to watch you on a monthly basis. If there was anything wrong, he'd want you to come back in right now.

Later in the pregnancy, he will lessen the time between office visits.

I don't know how the doctors are doing things now, but 25 years ago when I was having my kids, I saw the doctor every month for the whole 9 months, never had an ultrasound because my insurance didn't pay for it unless there was a medical reason for one. But seeing the doctor every four weeks was normal for me for both children.

It is normal for a pregnant woman to see the doctor every four weeks until the last month, then it every week. The doctor will just check that everything is going okay, if there was a problem he would have wanted to see you earlier. So relax.

You should expect to see your doctor every four weeks until the last month or so of your pregnancy when they will see you every two weeks if not more.
Talk to your doctor about what you should expect when you go for your monthly visits and keep a running list of questions written down to take with you so they can help make you feel as comfortable as possible durring this exciting time!
Congrats and good luck.

I had appointment every 4 weeks until I was 26 weeks pregnant. Then it changed to every 2 weeks. I am sure everything is fine. Good luck.

I have been going to the OBGYN literally every 4 weeks since becoming pregnant. It is completely normal!!! All they want to do is check on the heart beat and make sure you're doing ok...

It's completely normal to go every 4 weeks...you're supposed to! You'll go every 4 weeks until about the last 2 months, then you'll start going every 2 weeks and then eventually every week until delivery.

Don't worry! You're going to be fine!

its not uncommon for appointments to be every 4 weeks early on. if he has you doing this then he more likely does not see you as a high risk pregnancy. think of that as a good thing. i'm 23 weeks and my next appointment is in 4 weeks. then 5 more appointments every 2 weeks. then the rest every week.
