If it was just a little from wiping your probably fine. I had an episiotomy with my kids. soak in a nice warm bath or get a sitz bath at the drug store and use it daily until it is completely healed!

if the blood is coming from the episiotomy site I would most deffinately contact your ob/gyn. 7 to 10 days is how long it should take your stitches to be fully healed but as far as still bleeding from your stitches I would go to your doctors or call just in case. As far as bleeding from your other area that is totally normal...I just had my 6 week old well 6 weeks ago and just stopped bleeding about a week ago and I sometimes still spot a tiny bit so if its coming from that area its totally normal. Your body is getting your uterus back to its pre pregnancy size and shedding the lining and healing itself internally and externally and a lot of women do bleed for up to 2 months. it will take everything externally to be healed to the point where its not painful in 2 weeks and internally it is recomended that 6 weeks is how long it takes for you to be healed but some women are different.

It's totally normal - some women bleed for several weeks after giving birth. If you are concerned it's something serious, just call your OB/GYN and see what he has to say.

Congrats on the birth of your baby - I wish you well!

Don't worry, it's totally normal. Go back for your regular check-ups though to make sure everything heals right.

You can have bleeding for up to six weeks down there after you given birth. I wouldn't worry about it at all.
