am i going to see a big difference if i replace my now radeon x700 pro with a geforce 7600 gt ? both pci-e

You will see a pretty big difference between the two. Average benchmarks give the 7600 almost twice the framerate on newer games.
But, it does depend on the game you want to play. Not to mention that there are much better cards than the 7600gt for not too much more money.

You will see a HUGE difference! But, if you have the extra cash, go 7900... If not, you will be very happy with the 7600!
