I want to but am wondering how to do it. Do you buy the products and they send them to you or do they send and you sell and give them the money? I am confused?

Once you become a consultant (IE, you have paid for your starter kit and received your consultant ID number) you can start selling. You don't have to have product first, you can sell from the catelog or the website and then order from the company to fill those orders. Or, you can order product first (have inventory) and then sell.

You never give MK the money from your sales... You pay wholesale for the product when you order it from the company. Your sales to your customers can be retail cost (then you make a 50% profit) or if you offer discounts of any kind, your profit is whatever is left over. Mary Kay only knows what you order direct from the company and what you pay for that product. They don't know what or how much you sell or how much you sell items for.

Feel free to email me if you need any more info!

The first thing to do is order your starter kit which has over $300 in retail of product. You use this to start doing facials (in which you do not actually touch customers). Once you receive your kit your ready to schedule facials. You do not have to but it works better if you can get ladies to try the product first. You may choose whether to purchase an inventory or order as you go. You purchase the product from the company at a 50% discount and then sell it for retail amount. The customer pays you for the product. You deliver it to your customers. Contact me through my website if you have any additional questions or concerns. I absolutely love this company and all it stands for. God first, Family second and Mary Kay(career) third. www.marykay.com/tcraddock

I recently started w/Avon. All I did was pay out 10dollars and from there I received 8 books and samples of the products. My aunt works for them so that's how i managed to get in. I would also think that you would have to find that person to work under. Do you know anybody who sells Mary-Kay? If so get with her and for sure she could help you.

Contact someone who sells it in your area, or go to marykay.com and sign up. For around $100 you get an introductory kit with selling tools and plenty of products to get started. You buy the products ahead of time at a discount, or collect money from an order and order them at the same time. The more you sell, the more benefits you get.

i do not work with MK. so what you want to do is use the products before selling/sharing your experience. contact any MK rep via telephone listing or through web page. they can give u best answers.
do your homework and compare other companies as a business person would.
some companies have stock on hand requirements , some have just in time stock.
allways develop customers into clients into agents. never get loans of any form to buy stock up front. buy enough to move weekly as you get customers. that is how we do it.
customers build you business not credit cards.
email if you want comparative.

Hi, I sell Mary Kay I'll be happy to answer your questions.
Once you become a consultant you decide how to run your business. As an independent contractor, you buy for whole sale and sell for retail it's up to you how and when you buy (carry and inventory or not).
